TVS Capital Funds, an Indian private equity fund that raised nearly Rs 2,000 crore in investor commitments domestically including co-investments in early 2021, has beefed up its top management by naming Krishna Ramachandran as a Managing Partner & COO.

Ramachandran, who started his career with ICRA nearly three decades back has also worked at companies like Yum Restaurants, EDS, KPMG, Consolidated Futuristic Solutions, Vodafone Essar, EY, Allianz Management & Operations Services and Philips.

In his last role he was working at consulting services firm Accenture as one of the Managing Directors in India and based at its Chennai office.

This comes months after TVS Capital appointed Anuradha Ramachandran as a Managing Partner. She is part of the top leadership team along with chairman and managing director Gopal Srinivasan and vice chairman D Sundaram.

Gopal Srinivasan, CMD, TVS Capital Funds, said, “He comes with a wide spectrum of operating experience and significant exposure to digital transformation initiatives.”

Ramachandran added, “We have great opportunities in making India a leader in digital platforms of scale in areas of finance and banking. I am delighted to be part of this journey with TVS Capital Funds in empowering next-gen entrepreneurs and, thereby, supporting the larger cause of nation-building.”

TVS Capital has raised around Rs 3,000 crore across three funds and made 30 investments. It currently backs technology-driven businesses in financial services and enterprise (B2B) services. Its latest fund counts among its portfolio unicorns like Digit Insurance, Five Star Business Finance and Yubi (CredAvenue).
